125 Build

Got the color on and all the odds and ends painted. Got my BRS shipment took a full week. But it kept me from getting in a hurry. Silicon parts tomorrow night. Its gonna be close for running test water over thanksgiving weekend. Does anyone in Tucson have 55 gallon drums for saltwater they would be willing to loan? Planning on getting saltwater from SWSW since the sale timing is excellent for me. If not I am going to buy 2 then I'll have them to loan

Cant help with the drums, but S.E.A. has Water Wednesdays, they also use salinity salt mix. I checked around when I filled my tank.only 33gals but I wanted to do it right =p

Got some silicon laid down in the DT today on the overflow. Cut baffles and built a filter sock holder for the sump. Entire top of sump is going to be covered in plexiglass to keep creep and splash down, maybe not the fuge... Can't decide on sump layout.....
1 socks and skimmer
2 fuge
3 return

or

1 sock and skimmer
2 return
3 fuge

help please...

Good idea, I'm gonna have to think that one through a little.. Didn't get anyting done tonite busy running around. Probably not much tomorrow either. Am planning on getting baffles siliconed in the morning so they can have 24hrs to dry before I run water on Saturday...I hope.

Water time tomorrow! Got most everything done today. Worked some on the electrical equipment layout. All plumbing done. Need to work out controllers for heater and chiller and timers and receptacles for lights and pumps.

that thing is silent man. would you do this style overflow again? also where did you get the clear acrylic used in your return line? and also why did you use it. thank you

^ lol, BUT you should have picked up a bubble mag half off @ SEA!

oh well, 2ish-3 days later hows the tank looking?

Answering a few together. Clear pvc from Hastings plastics by Irvington and Alvernon. Was going to use it on the beananimal to see if the pipe was full, but had the hoses and that was much easier. Then used it on the supply side in the tank to kinda hide it.

Skimmer can be changed at any time couldn't make the awesome sale but another deal will come along. Patience....

Its in the house!!!

LOOKIN GOOD!, make sure you also put the open channel tubing ( closest to the front of your tank ) a 1/4 inch below the water as well, this will allow it to push the air out if it ever needs to become full syphon, and also help cut down bubble noise.

Got the rest of the mess from old tank cleaned up and rock in the tank and sump.

Aquascape tomorrow....
