125 gal reef tank fish suggestions

125 gal tank 6 ft long & 5 months old just starting to add corals. I have plenty of live rock with good hiding places. Stock list so far is Yellow Tang, Blue Hippo Tang, Flame Angel, Male Lyretail Anthias, Ocellaris Clownfish Trio (bonded), Sixline Wrasse. All fish are small and no fish is over 3 in.

I'm undecided on my next stocking options. Yellow tang has been in the tank 2 weeks. I can put it in time out in the refugium if it gets too bad. I had ordered a Powder Blue Tang at the same time as the Yellow Tang but Live Aquaria screwed up my order and didn't send it. So i'm kinda screwed now.

Looking forward to suggestions :)

Never heard of a bonded trio of clowns, I expect they are all Juvi's right now and as soon as one changes to a female, you will be left with 2 clowns. Also I would add 2 female lyretails.
 
From the fish list you have now, I'd say you're maxed out in terms of swimming space. The regal tang will outgrow the 125, and it will need all the room it can get. The PB tang would definitely get "cabin fever" in a six foot setup, so it's just as well you didn't get it.

Thanks... I was considering 2 female Lyretails. My male just started eating after 2weeks so I was waiting. If it continues to eat I will "hook him up" lol

If you knew your tank was too small then why ask the question? Your tank does not meet the minimum suggested tank recommendation for some of the fish about which you inquired.

I also suggest that you refrain from using the term "tang police" as it is frowned upon by the RC staff.

I wasn't trying to be tang police, just pointing out a bit of information. Just like if you said you were running 115 octane nitro in your dodge neon i might say "hey the user manual says 87 octane, just so you know that might be a bad idea." Then if it blows up later nobody can say a warning wasn't given. I've stated in other threads that I think people can keep bigger fish as long as they're willing to be responsible owners, and either upgrade tanks when needed or find the fish a new home when it outgrows the tank. Or if by some miracle it just stays happy and healthy in the smaller tank.

As far as suggestions, i've heard cardinals make good additions to larger tanks because they school.

Thanks... Seriously considering cardinals. Just hope my Flame angel doesn't harass them too much!
