Micki, definitely one of my favorite fish.

hckycoz, Thanks and good luck

bngowe, some are more reefsafe than others. I don't really care about shrimp and that's one of their favorite snacks.

Here's some pictures of the tusk I'm planning on getting. You can see how small he is now. They have a larger one but I'd rather get it at this size.

Just came home from Greg's. For all of those who've subscribed to and have been following this thread, I tell you the pictures do it NO justice. It is one of the nicest tanks I have ever seen and I've been at this for over 10 years and have seen alot of tanks in that time..

Great job bud, keep it up.

Any chance of getting some video on here? If you get some I will find a place where I can post mine & yours.

I'll have to take some next week.

I just got back from my reef club's frag swap and got quite a few nice pieces.
Bright Green Finger Leather
Green Yuma
Green/Purple Blasto Wellsi
Burgundy Blasto Wellsi
Pink Zoos
Pink/Teal Zoos
Green Monti Cap
True Blue Xenia
Safe Cracker Red Zoos
Red Green Bull's Eye Mushroom
A nice SPS piece, don't remember the name right now

I'll have pics in a couple of days

man your blasto rocks are off the hook! with a rock like that you'll never be broke...lol..

Thanks, I try to put whatever I get from frags back into the tank, I usually don't even sell, just trade.

Well, the tusk is in the tank, say that five times fast.
He's been in about an hour and a half, currently being initiatied by my Chevron Tang.
I definitely think that a gem tang is out of the question now, seeing what the chevron is doing to a harlequin tusk. It usually doesn't last long keeping my chevron at bay with a feeder stick, they'll hopefully be OK by the morning.
I'll have pics later maybe or definitely by tomorrow.

Well I wasn't able to get a very good pic this morning, he's still on the right side at bay with my Chevron, the aggession has come way down since yesterday but it will be another day or 2 until he's freely swimming. He ate a krill shrimp out of my hand yesterday so everything seems good so far. Sorry again for the horrible pic, he's staying atound my SEIO and I have to go to work so I'll try to get a better one later. He's at the top right of the pic.

Here are some blastos that I picked up at the swap, all green.

Well, the tusk is slowly expanding his swimming range with the Chevron but still hangs out mostly on the right. I picked up some nice purplish blastos yesterday. They also had a gorgeous Fox Coral, I've always liked fox corals but it's hard to find healthy ones with nice color, anyways it was too large for the whole piece to go in my tank so the LFS owner let me frag it.

Here's the tusk

Nice grab on the new Tusk! Looks great, as usual...how come you didn't tell me you were only 23?! That is SO cool! Usually you have to be old to have tons of experience and success

Can you tell me how ya did it?

Greg,

I have "just" restarted to stock my tank ( with corals ) after a miserable first start... Now the tank has finally stabalized enough to get back into it again.... These are the 1st shots taken after putting them in the tank .... I got them in Atlanta yesterday....

1st, the mushrooms.... they are covering a rock incrusted with sponge...

Now for the green lobo ( which opened further during the night )

Sorry for the pic's not being the best ...I'll upload better ones after the MH's come back on .... What's your take on their feeding... I picked up some cyclop-eeze and some DT Plankton for their care ( as well as the rest of the filter feeders in the tank..)

Your suggestions/comments will be most welcome

Hey Gregg your tank still looks amazing no matter what forum I look at. :)
How is that tusk?
I was thinking of getting one as well but I don't no if I want to loose my cleanre shrimp just yet. I see them all the time cleaning the fish.
I am going to try and post my tank today when the MH go on. I don't think you saw it yet populated.

that tusk is so cool, especially to find a juvenile that readily accepts a broad range of food

you said he was small- about how many inches?

oh yeah, the rest of your tank ain't bad either ;)
