That's a waste a time, just like doing water changes:D

 Don't start now...... That issue is long dead......

You've got to be single .... My wife is really getting annoyed with me spending sooo much of my free time on this forum..... I just tell her: " Honey, I'm getting valuable information here..... You want this tank to look good don't you..??"

Bob

Not married but have the girlfriend, I just check as I'm getting ready in the morning

Got ya.....

And thanks for the input/info on the bio-balls..... I have noticed that after removing more bio-balls ( still have not setup the fuge conversion ) that now I have cyano on the SB.... I'm thinking that I removed too many of them and don't have adequate bio-filtration capacity..... I added more sand sifting snails and the new powerheads but the cyano is still there.... Will putting some of the bio-balls back in help me..???

( I gota scoot... get ready for church..... wife looking at me funny while I'm typing this ).....

Thanks

Bob

I am overwhelmed with awe at your tank. I am at the same time frame you are, but with my 55 FOWLR , just now begining to read on corals, and feel like a kindergardener... I have been reading a lot, but even if I had the money to jump in more, I am not sure I am worthy.......lol.

My BIG question is....with that many small corals, all nestled so closely together.....when they get large and you have to begin fraggin in earnest, HOW do you do that? Are they not all attached to your aquascaping and other corals also attached to same rocks and adjoining rocks? How does one deal with the process?

I would either wait it out or replace the submerged bioballs with more LR. You're taking out a filter of your tank so your tank has to compensate.

Thank you very much, most are attached to the aquascaping or have grown onto the aquascaping. I frag most in the tank, you can use heavy duty toe nail clippers to frag SPS. I do have coral wars so I have to e careful and experiment quite a bit. I frag a lot which is definitely not a bad thing, free fish food and dosing chemicals! Here are a couple of pieces I had to move around after some coral war.

greg if you put any more coral or fish in that tank.......lets just say, the last time i was at gregs house the total water volume of his tank was about 5 gallons..including the sump and refugium....:frog: :wavehand:

Greg... I don't see how you can keep adding stuff to that already stuffed tank ... The fella above is right.. You must have what 5gal's of water volume left..??? How bout starting another tank ....

I'm looking for a local LFS that will donate like a 300g system to me and they'll be my sponsor. I'd buy a very high percentage of my stuff there, they'd make plenty off of the contents from me.

I also probably shouldn't post the new heniochus that I just put in the tank, he has 3 banners, which I've never seen.

LOL.... Nah man ... you do ... Nice fish....

Good luck getting the 300.... Oh and how's the lighting fixture comming along..??? Is it done yet..?? I'm still waiting for drawings.....

Bob

The canopy is mostly finished but the guy building it for me took this week off for some personal stuff so I'm hoping the beginning of next week, there were no real drawings so I'd rather show pics, much easier to see.

Well that was a short time, the bannerfish is already out, he went a little LPS happy on my tank last night. He'll be going back today.
