125 Gallon For Sale

I don't post here much since I'm still new but after only being in the hobby for 6 months or so we are selling our 125 gallon setup. I've already sold the fish and live rock but someone could get a great deal on a used tank, stand, canopy, lights, and more.

I'd like to get $900 for everything which is steal, but I really want it gone this weekend if possible so I might be willing to work a deal.

-125 gallon AGA tank with 2 overflows it the 4' long version
-White canopy and stand
-40 gallon breeder sump
-Coralife 125 protein skimmer
- 2-250 watt metal halides with two ballasts
- 2-T12 actinics with Ice Cap 660 ballast
-Tunze aquawind fan and 2-6'' fans
-Mag 12 return pump
-2 Hydor Koralia 1400 powerheads

The list goes on as there is a lot more of the little stuff you aquire. I have a maxijet 1200 pump, filter socks, fish food, test kits, spare 20 gallon tank, etc...

The main reason is we have 2 Great Danes which are like kids to us. They're getting older and our female has a spinal problem we need to get checked out which is going to cost a ton. We just made a decision that for now we'll cut cost as much as possible sell the system to pay for the MRI and pursue getting her lined out, and then try the hobby again in a couple years when we don't have any dogs. At that point I'd like to start again and be a fish only house, no other animals.


The other part is things have really changed at work so I've been to busy to even do anything with the tank or even enjoy it. I don't think things at work will improve for a while now so I'll probably continue the long hours and travel. When I'm gone it's just a lot right now for the wife to handle having a 2 year old and dogs.

So sorry to hear about your dog. We have 2 bassets and a mutt and I can not imagine what we would do if something like this happened. We also have a 3 year old daughter so I can feel your wives pain as our Basset hounds are big babys/pains in themselves!(let alone the 3 year old!!)
