There are 2 jet power heads, protein skimmer, high quality filter. 3 metal halide lights (6 month old bulbs) and six moon lights. Have invested over $10,000. Many unusual specimens. Have owned less than a year, hate to get rid of but moving across country- need to sell.

I don't think you are going to sell all your corals/fish with those prices. Those are the same prices that I see at the LFS. $10 for xenia is way too much. Xenia should be free, IMO. Let me know if you lower your prices. Of course, I could be wrong, and I am sorry if I am.

I didn't want to be the one to say it. I said that once, thinking I was trying to help out and the thread turned REAL ugly.

In all sincerity, good luck and sorry to hear that you have to tear it down :(

I must have been shopping at the wrong store then because these are at least 50% less than what I paid. The xenia is 20% of what I paid.

Lori, I was gonna mention to you, that's why I wasn't coming by today. Those are the same (if not higher) prices that I get at my LFS. In addition, most of us get the local reef club (CMAS) discount of 10%. Where do you shop? Lemme guess--Old Town Aquarium?

Lori, Matt,

Good luck with sale. I find that you never get even close to what you paid for. When I try to sell anything, like a brand new pump, people try to beat you donw to pretty much nothing. Its sad..

I talked to Matt about this many times. You should keep your favorite stuff and sell the more common things.

You can set up a rubbermaid tub at the new house move the livestock to the tubs then break the tank down and move it later.

I'm glad you said you were sorry at the end of your post.

Telling someone they should be giving what they paid for away for free is rude.

If anyone has a problem with the prices, why don't you just pm the seller rather than blow their sale..

If the prices are too high, then don't buy. It happens to me all the time.

I'm not trying to be a jerk, I'm just trying to help a friend out of a bad time..

I don't find any of the comments rude at all. We reefers are just looking for a little consistency. If someone is a little off it's ok to comment on. If someone wants to get rid of their stuff they better be prepared to wager. We're not looking for freebies however we're also not willing to pay what we think is lfs price. Someone typically has to say something otherwise the seller is going to sit and wonder why no one is bitting. Good luck to the seller and I am sorry to hear they have to break down the tank.

I am sorry this evolved into such a rude thread. I was just giving a hint to help the sale go faster, as I know it is hard to get everthing accomplished before a move. Could you post prices on the metal halide lights please? Thanks.
