125 Gallon Fish Tank Aquarium with Stand- asking $350 in REALLY GREAT CONDITION! The canopy is optional, it functioned more as a light blocker than a "fixture" per-say
We just took down our saltwater reef system because we are moving. We were VERY fortunate to have the kind people of Adventure Aquarium come by and take our fish to retire in luxury. So since we have limited space in the moving truck, we have to part with our entire set up. This auction consists of the tank and stand. Please check my other auctions for other equipment.
The tank itself is 125 gallons and has no cracks or issues that will not allow it to hold water. It was up and running for 9 1/2 years straight and was in perfect working condition as of yesterday May 9th 2014 when we shut it down. I also cleaned it out this morning with tap water and a razor blade, no chemicals were used to clean. The tank is set up for freshwater or sumpless saltwater systems, aka...it is not drilled! You can see from the photos that the center brace is a little warped. This was due to the metal halide light fixture we placed on the tank a few years ago. It does not compromise the integrity of the tank, its more of a cosmetic issue. We ended up just placing aluminum foil around it to prevent further damage.
The tank stand is in great condition! It only fits 125 gallon tanks and has a solid wood frame and bottom for the tank to rest on. Im not sure what the wood consists of, if its pine or oak. But it was a difficult stand to locate, I can assure you that. I was looking for a blond wood, and this set up was only available at PetSmart. There are no issues with the stand, it is in perfect structural condition and has very minor salt creep discoloration along the left corner. Very minimal! Overall I have to say we kept this set up in near perfect condition for almost 10 years it was in use.
