125 Gallon Tank Question.

Can a 125 gallon tank that is (72 1/2 x 18 1/2 x 23 3/8) as the dimensions be a non braced tank? Looking at the tank I cannot see anywhere on the lip where the brace(s) has been cut out.

What is your question? Do you want to remove the brace? if so I wouldn't recommend it, the brace keeps the glass from bowing. The 100+ rimless tanks are made with a special silicone.

No the tank doesn't have one. My question is: Is the tank suppose to have a Brace?

It depends on the thickness of the glass or Acrylic.

That looks about the same size as my 125 oceanic with a center brace. I cant imagine one that long not have a center brace. I'd do a test fill somewhere you wouldnt mind getting wet and let it set a few days to see if it bows any.

I think most 125's are 3/8, and have either one or two braces depending on the brand. Is there a manufacturer tag anywhere on it?
