Hi ...

I was wondering if any has a 12g AQUAPOD? I am experiencing a temp. problem and was wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same problem with these tanks. When the lights are off and only lunar lights on the temp is a steady 78-79 degrees. I leave the lights on for 6 hours and the temp reaches 84 degrees. I haven't been able to keep a fish in there (poor things are frying) but dont know if i should get rid of the tank...or its a manufacturing error. It has fans so i dont understand why its so hot in there!!!!

Has anyone experienced the same thing?

HELP!!!

THanks!

I experienced the same problem so I ordered two 60mmx60mmx15mm fans and put them into the hood. My temps have dropped to ~78. These are the fans I bought... http://www.coolerguys.com/840556021469.html You will however need some way to turn the 3 pin into a 2 pin connector. I think nano customs sells one. I just made my own connectors though.

I have an ambient of about 72 degrees in my place and I had overheating problems also, I replaced the stock pump which runs around 14-15 watts with a Rio 600 which runs at 9.5 and gives more flow. I now am able to run both lights for about 10 hours and have no temp above 82. ~Matt

i am dissatisted because i have a nano cube and its the greatest. it is peaceful and i have not had to make alterations... that is the reason i bought it. i dont have time to build a tank piece by piece and i dont have a guy around to do all the wiring stuff (and i am not martha stuart!) i wish someone would have told me of this problem before... i now know why they are so chep. also the stock fans make so much noise. i have both tanks in my room and now i hate being in there... it sounds like an airport!!!

i'll probably return it to the store... it sucks!

i wish you guys luck with yours...
