12g nc help, PLEASE

This is the first time i've actually been ready to throw my tank out the window. So I decided to put a MJ900 on to replace the stock pump. Well all is fine. UNTIL......................I put my nc skimmer back on. Then all i get is bubbles. The water in the third chamber goes all the way down and my pump sucks in air. If i barely start to lower the skimmer then the bubbles go away (a little bit). If I fully remove my skimmer, they go away completely. I'm just getting TICKED OFF. I can actually hear the water pouring from the 2nd chamber to the third. And my mj900 is pumping out bubbles. (even though the water isn't all the way below the pump). I know it's not the pump though.

PLEASE SOMEONE HELP me before I throw it out the window.

What kind of skimmer is it? And it just sounds like the skimmer is doing its "break in period" just let it go for a couple days and the bubbles will subside....

are you talking about a surface skimmer mod here? What is happeneing is it is glocking some of the water return and so there isn't enough water in the back chamger as the maxijet pumps it all out.

What happens if you raise your water level? I don't know much about your tank, but the increased water volume will have to go somewhere and I bet it will end up in your back chambers.

Is the pump sucking more water than is getting through the filter media in the first 2 chambers? Also, what is your water level at?
