Need Some Help And Advice From Large Tank Pros...
I could not have an aquarium at home but it looks like is going to go in my new store that I just signed the contract.
Today I'm Working On The Stand And Which Way To Go..
I know Sanjay stand and I was part of putting it together, carrying but when I saw it it looks like the level is some concern. Not sure what happened there since verything is leveld.
Thinking to go with Cender Block but I have hard time finding more info about them, type of block, filled or hallow.. etc..
The tank is
120x65x40
I have tons of pictures of me and partner cutting the wall and will have pictures step by step for everybody as soon as I get FTP back again in my computer.
Who has pictures of stands for big tank like this ?

thats a huge tank! how do you plan to get it to the stand? will it be built on site or will you try to carry it? prehaps a forklift?

it will be built by a company and transported to the site and lifted, by machine or humans we don't know yet

Larger tanks I've seen on cinder blocks have been with the cinder blooks tat have the larger holes in them for heavy construction. They used the cinder blocks are columns and them place large wood beans on the top to support the tank itself. Sort of like Sanjay's without but substituting the metal I bean with a large wood beam. There is someone I recall not too far from your house is that used to ahve a store with a very large glass tank on cinder blocks too. Could be usefull to get some pictures of how he had his set up.

Just like you, I don't know what would be a god and easy way to level a stand like Sanjay's and Schiemer's. Once you set the concrete on the cinder blocks, I guess you would have to shimy below the I beans themselves? That sounds very very tedious to get it right.

Why not just build a heavy duty and highly reinforced wooden stand? If done right with plenty of reinforcements it should outlast you. I know some people have concerns about the wood having some shifting over time, especially if it gets wet, but if you double up or even triple up on the supports I don't think that is an issue. I don't know much about THIS:lol:  type of wood, so I could be very wrong.

Congratulations on the store. I wish you the best of luck. :D :D
