I run 3 12k Reeflux 400se in LAIII. They are my favorite so far. Lots of blue but super bright. However, I run no supplemental lighting and will go for the XM 20k for more flourescent color in my stonies

I used to run the 12K Reeflux, it looked similar to the Phoenix bulbs I am running now.

for anyone whos had both phx 14k and the reeflux 12k, which is brighter/and or more white? I have the phx, but would like something a tad more white.

acro nut, are your gallery pics with the 12k only?

On my ballasts it seemed that the Phoenix bulb was a little whiter, and brighter, but that could have been do to the more efficient reflector.

I have a phoenix 14 K 250 watt AquaMedic Ocean light and love it...Very bright

I have run a 400w 10k on a magnetic, it was too pink for my tastes.

TENTACLES in my gallery I an running 3 12K's & 2 10K's over the braces of the tank. The 12k reeflux is blue w/ a nice hint of crisp white. I think you will like these bulbs . Do You live in Palatine ? When you are ever by Midway airport stop by and you can see for yourself .

On my 150 I initially had 14k Hamis that I supplemented with VHO's antic by the way. I thought the look I had was great. I have a friend that had 250watt reflux on his tank and his tank looked great as well. Anyway I tried to mimic his tank so I inquired about the CV's running on magnetic ballasts. Well I decided to purchase the 12k's and MANNNNN was I surprised. I have an ice blue look and I was wondering what made me take so long. I vote for CV!!!!! 12k's

yes you can. I anyone says you can't they are mistaken because I am running them... CV's that is.

I tried the 10K reeflux on electronic ballast (250W) 1-icecap and 1-CV and they were PINK. I'm tempted to try hammi's instead. My XM10K are good bulbs but i like more blue.

What about the 12K Reeflux with an HQI ballast? Anyone running it like this. Only thing I read was don't run it b/c you'll burn out the bulb quicker and won't get true color.

What color are you getting with the 12K Reeflux and HQI ballast?
