did my first water change last month on the tank, only 20g nothing crazy, lol

Well I have a big Skimmer and never have any nutrients show up on The salifert test.kinda like an experiment. Tank is 220g bb with 55g sump. Lit with DIY leds 60whites and 60 blues. consistency is the key with reef keeping apex controls my carx and water top off, also all 5 koralia mag8 ph's. Temp stays withing 1/2 º year round.

As I was looking at your pics, I was wondering why some of your corals hadn't grown very much in the last year(notably the stag in front of the green Monti). Then you said you hadn't made a water change in the last year and it all made sense. I bet if you start making regular water changes those stagnant corals will start growing for you. Nitrates and phosphates aren't the only things exported with water changes. Overall, looks good though.

i figure the stag needed more light. i have started doing weekly 10-15 gal water changes now and wanna see how the growth changes. like i said it was more of an exp for me. Also take note that i almost lost everything after adding some of that recalled kent carbon to the tank, the entire tanked bleached out over night and only one piece rtn'd on me, toock about 2 months for stuff to start to show signs o improvement.

I did a stylo to somehow spawn, i little patches of it starting to growth throughout the tank, pretty cool to see what it turns out to being.

took some better shots today, well busted out the tripod at least. will post them shortly, also will post the original piece with it of when i put it in the tank.

Tanks looks good, and another experience in the books for successful LED lit SPS tanks (although I am not sold on the LED's myself :) ).

As others have mentioned, I think you will notice some improvement in the corals with the regular (albeit small) water changes.
