14 year old's tank

I took this picture to show you what the first thing you see when you walk into my house. It looks better in life but also on the picture it looks good.

May I say congrats on such a beautiful tank and also that I am jealous. Ten years older than you and I'm still dreaming about moving all of my critters from our 75 to our 210. Unfortunately for us, getting the 210 ready for a reef will be pricey. I am happy that you've been able to enter this hobby, with such little money. Keep up the beautiful work and keep those grades up too!!! :thumbsup:
 
wow awesome tank. i don't know any local reefers around here yet so i should go to a club meeting seeing if anyone is giving stuff away :). i am glad to see that i am not the only young reefer around here besides a couple other people (i am 13 and in 8th grade as well.) when did you start SW? i was 12. AWESOME TANK you are doing a great job. keep up the good work

I never wanted to get into the hobby because I thought it was to expensive. I decided of starting a salt water tank when last year thanksgiving everyone went to the science lab to watch a movie and guess where I sat. Right next so the tank. I watched the tank more then the movie. And I was thinking about how the system worked. Well I knew everything in the tank. And I was thinking it cant be that hard. And I decided to make a small tank. I went to my LFS and looked at everything I needed, Test kits,and I bought some books. About 2 weeks later I set up 10 gallon tank filled it up with water and went back to my LFS to buy some red sea salt. And Live rock for $10 per LBS what was I thinking :confused: . My tank after that was a 12 gallon nano cube deluxe which was very sucssesful everything was alive. And Then I got this wounderful tank.
 
The tank looks great. What is the long green tentacled coral in the middle of the tank? Is it a LTA (long tentacle anemone) by chance?

I am so happy to see that you have a QT on the left side of that tank. Man, you're pretty responsible for a 14 year old. Kudos to your parents and to you. Best of luck!

You are a very lucky young man. As you know, what you have would cost thousands to just about everyone else.

When you make it to 16 and get a drivers license in your pocket, try and not neglect your tank inhabitants.

Your tank looks great, keep up the hard work and enjoy your efforts.
