14g biocube setup after 1 week ques.

I set up a 14g biocube exactly 1 week ago with 10 lbs. of LR and I am getting 0 ammonia reading. Is this normal? Will my setup every cycle?
Any responses will be appreciated.

check your nitrates and nitrites. did you use live sand or dry sand? also did you use natural SW, or a salt mix?

I set the tank up with crushed coral substrate and RO water mixed with instant ocean salt. I premixed the SW and added to the tank. Then purchased 10 lbs. of LR and placed in the tank with the filter running and a 30 gal powerhead running about 1/2 strength. This was exactly 1 wk ago. I haven't checked for nitrates yet because I have never gotten an ammonia spike yet.
