14K Phoenix Bulbs

Anyone use the 250w single ended version of this bulb? I see that these are pretty expensive but I was wondering how good these bulbs are? Right now I'm running Radiums on a E-ballast and after 6 months the color is very dull. I want some blue color but I want something that is on the brighter side as well.

i have one of the SE phoenix bulbs on my tank, color is great, par is questionable because it is directly above my center brace, but overall it gives off about the same color if not a little brighter than the hqi phoenix

This is not my personal experience* (I run the 150w 14k Phx) but a local reefer was running the 250 DE 14k PHX bulb and complained of it being too white. Those are his words again, and I hadn't seen the tank while running this bulb. He switched to a different 20k bulb(not radiums but dont remember)
