The description is a little confusing to me regarding your 14k Phoenix bulbs. Are they 14K, or 10K that look like 14K?

I've never seen any other descriptions for these bulbs written this way.

"14K 150watt HQI Double End Halide Bulb â€"œ Phoenix Brand
This bulb is listed as 10K, but looks more like a 14K bulb, has a nice blue tint. Looks like a 10K halide with VHO actinics.
Runs on hqi halide ballast only, or PFO Electronic, IceCap New Generation Ballast, or LN ballast."

Thanks,
JB

Hi,

Sorry for the confusion. Everyone sells this lamp as a 14K bulb, but in the PEC catalog, they call it a 10K. So we just wanted everyone to know that in case they look up the bulb in the PEC index from the bulbs they manufacture.

The "K" rating unfortunately is all over the place. AB's 10K looks like a 13K, Megachrome 13K looks like most would call a 10K etc, you have "true" K ratings and regular.

So pretty much just have to go by what the majority of the people think the bulb looks like. This bulb has a lot of blue tint to it, it's probably the most popular DE bulb out there.

Hopefully one of these days they'll have a uniform color rating for all the lamps.
