$15 Peppermint Shrimp meal

Man am I torqued. I finally found true sea hare out in Elmira, gathered the family up and headed out there to pick it up. Well... I get home, take great care in acclimating it and finally released it. Only to have my Peppermint shrimp come flying out of nowhere snatching it up and carrying it off to behind the rock work and start pulling it apart and eating it up. It didn't even last 15 seconds in the tank.

Has anyone else heard of an incompatibility between these two? I read a lot of stuff on them and peppermint shrimp we not even mentioned. For granted it was small... probably 3/4 inch long... but still.

Anyone want any PS? I haven't had an aptasia problem in a long while so they're not needed anymore. They're gonna pay for a new sea hare.

Man am I miffed!

I saw them picking at mine when I introduced it.... it disappeared after a day, so maybe they made a meal of him as well

FYI...ABC in Syracuse has some real big sea hare's (they are blue spotted). Not sure what the deal is with them, but they do go for hair algae...

He has some huge ones too...I am talkin like 2" to 3". One of them is really huge. I want to say they are a little pricy though, like maybe $30 or $40.

Yeah I know. I called up there this week. Rick at Natures Best also has one. I may call up to ABC again and see if they would do a trade.

TFO in Elmira had a Sea Hare? Wow, I very rarely see anything out of the ordinary in there and I stop in once a week or so. Don't ask me why. Once Dave gets starting talking it is hard to get out of there. I had a lot of hope for them when they expanded last summer.
