so got a little side tracked, but to get back on track. had a rough day so took the day off and what better way to spend it to work on the tank!

yay sump is complete. Sorry for the mess in it as i had to route it letting it dry and leak test on the weekend

Sucks about the rough day, I'm having a study party with a few buddies for a environmental studies exam tomorrow!!! Taking a break to check rc, can you say addicted to saltwater?

Sump looks real good man, hopefully it's leak proof!
When I was changing the flex tubing to actual pvc, I was at first going to use 45 degree elbows instead of 90. However, the 45's fit loosely onto the straight pvc pieces for some weird reason but the same size 90 degree elbow fit snug as a bug in a rug. I'm not sure why, but just a heads up when you do the plumbing if you haven't already

Back to studying! Don't let a bad day get to you, tomorrow is a new one bud!

I drilled the drain holes on the tank and start painting it. Hopefully today or friday I'll attach the Internal and external overflow and then let it dry. Then just gotta pick up the tank on the stand and run all the plumbing!
 
well moment of truth. i have an exam monday so tank is on hold but i figure id fill up the sump after curing for ~72 hrs. I filled it up to a 1/2" from the top and i figure ill let it sit for a couple days. no leaks and i think it bowed less than a 1/32 but i couldnt really tell. It looked okay now im just waiting and hoping i wake up with water still in it haha

Waddle, I know you're sleeping on top of some med book right now, and I applaud you for focusing on school. But wake your *** up and play with your wish tank!!!! Haha
 
Yes while that s true my lights on m 90 decided to go swimming so I had to rebuild the mounts for that so fish tank was on hold. Hopefully I'll be back at it today or tomorrow
 
PROGRESS!

So finally a break from exams i was able to do everything i wanted and paint the tank and was able to attach the overflows and I am letting everything dry overnight and tomorrow i can begin plumbing!!!!! yay!!!!!

Thanks, but no powerheads in this bad boy. The holes in the center are obviously the overflow drain. The 2 holes at the top are the returns, the big hole is a return for the closed loop, and the 4 lower holes (2 each side) are for the returns of the closed loop
 
So i ran into the problem that i could not get anyone over to lift the tank with me so the plumbing got delayed, however i got some done and realized i forgot a piece so back to the store to go find it
