Looking to upgrade my Acrylic to Glass. The space I have is perfect for a 150G deep 48 x 24 x30

Upgrading the old 90 as been running this Acrylic for over 25 years. Its still in great shape, just the scratches over time and it needs fully buffed out again. Going to go with Glass this time and will move the 90 to a fuge role.

Looking for brands of tank / stands that I should look at. I've been to my local LFS but nothing really interesting. Looking for a very quit overflow system (I run a basement sump so keep it really quit in the DT room)

Anybody had success at web stores that ship these tanks?

I recently bought two Eurobraced 150g (60 x 24 x 24) tanks from Crystal Dynamics aquariums. Trent's tanks are beautiful (Crystal Dynamics is the former Lee-Mar).

His stands, while nice enough, are not quite the same quality as the tanks (at least my two are not) but you get an extra year of warranty by purchasing his stands. Be aware, though, that it may take much longer than he estimates before you will receive the tanks. In both cases, I was quoted 8-12 weeks and it took 20 weeks the first time and 16 the second time.

The first stand was wood-wrapped steel which was pretty enough, but finished very rough on the bottom that made deep scratches in my wood floor, despite felt underneath. I would have expected more for the price. The canopy for the second tank had two severe drips in the finish that I need to fix myself or else wait months for Trent to find time to fix them. Neither are catastrophic problems, and I love the tanks, but be aware of these potential issues.

IMO there isn't an "off the shelf" aquarium with a "very quite overflow system" as all that I've seen use your typical "reef ready" system for a durso/herbie setup..

Custom.. sure.. off the shelf.. nope..
But I've been spoiled with a Bean Animal system and can NEVER go back to anything else..

I'm in the market for a new tank pretty soon and may just go with a regular "Deep Blue" tank and add a coast-coast overflow with bean drain system..
But I can "DIY" with ease and don't want to spring for a custom tank..

I like the BeanAnimal overflow, too. Unless you set the intakes quite high, there will be some sound from the water falling into the overflow box (at least in the standard trapezoidal ones I have) but this is really minimal. Most of the noise from my tanks (and not much at that) comes from falling water in the sump. You won't have that issue.
