I'm using the MTC pro cal reactor and keep my calcium levels at 400+ and alk at 11dKH

Mike - the only reason I like the blue plus bulb is because it is more pleasing to the eye. I personally don't think it makes the corals flouresce more, but I also don't have any scientific evidence to prove that either way.

Yeah, I'm running a 1/10 HP chiller on the tank. Not big enough for this tank but it does the job. I run fans too... tanks stay between 79-81

Nick and the_anti_honda - The chiller is located just below the tank and on the left hand side. My chiller stays pretty quiet but it's actually a test model I'm running for someone.

skylsdale - I didn't shoot the pics, a friend of mine did (Greg Rothschild - mod on RC). I believe he shot all the fish pictures with a flash. If I tried to shoot the pictures, you would only see a blur of the fish.

how much water are you loosing in evap a day?

also would you have put the chiller outside of the room, possible like say the garage?

and tempature flucuation? do you see big swings and what temp do you kepp your home at?

I lose approx 2.5 gallons a day due ot evaporation. The way the house was built, I can't run the sump into the garage without TONS of PVC (and then I lose head presssure from the pump). If I could, I would have put the sump and filatration in the garage.

My temp goes between 79-81 and I have no idea what the temp of the house is during the day. The room my tank is in does get natural sunlight for a little bit each day. In the summer I have to keep the blinds closed or it will also heat up the tank faster.

oh and how high is the ceiling in that room i think ceiling hight has alot to do with how warm the aquarium gets and how quicky is does so.

Hey Slobound- The tank looks amazing...The pictures look like theyre on a second floor bedroom...maybe it gets warmer sinc its on a second level? i always wanted to set up a large tank of your size in a basement, since they stay soo much cooler....and its soo much cheaper to warm a tank then cool it...Not sure if they have basements out ther ein Cali??

i had the chance to switch into a bigger tank from the 125 so i just purchased a 150 and it is now sitting in my living room. only thing is it has 1x 1.5" drain in the over flow. i was wondering what size is your drain and what pump(s) are you running? i notice you use alot of power heads. is this for the make up for a smaller pump?
