I just received the OK to post some pictures that a friend (Greg Rothschild) took of my tank a few weeks ago. I think the photos came out great and wanted to share with the RC family. Hope you enjoy them as much as I did!

I have a tank just like that.... Then I wake up :-(

Really cool colors and growth. Did you start from frags or colonies ?

Nam, anytime... there are a few reefs up in this area that you should check out.

I did a little of both... some of these started as frags and some of them as small colonies. It's funny because some of the larger colonies started as frags (they just grew faster)!

Everytime my frags get to colonies I frag them and give the colonies away to friends. I just like the fun of watching them grow and I move around to much to keep colonies and take them with me.

I need a bigger tank. Wanna trade ?? It doesnt even look like you have glass there... WOW

Wow that tank is really nice (TOTM???:D) . Can you provide all the specs for us? fish list?

Also, I see a couple fish I don't recognize. More specifically:

16 is some type of goby, I just don't know the common name. What about 17? a type of wrasse?

Thanks. Tank looks great.

p.s. I just noticed you live in Thousand Oaks, my brother(kozmo02) and I have a sister down there, maybe we'll stop by next time with some rubble and super glue (and money :D ;) )

The first is a

Helfrichs filefish
the second looks like a basslet species

Is your tank made out of starphire, or do you just keep your glass incredibly clean?:)

Yes, the first is a Helfrich's firefish and the second is a macropharyngodon choati (species of leapard wrasse). Both are really cool fish!

Just shoot me a PM if you want to stop by sometime.

what are the demensions of that tank?

simply beautiful!

Nick

Hey Nick, the tank is 60" x 24" x 24"

I wish I would;ve gone larger... that's my only regret when I made the transfer. And I thought I'd have more room when I moved everything from the 75... hahaha.

Thanks for the compliments!

WOW!!! Excellent job!!

Clean look is the way to go!!

Greg is the master of taking reef pics! How can I get him to take mine??

YES!!! Greg is an awesome photographer! I'm so impressed with his pictures. I was really lucky to have him come over to the house.

The pic you posted is one of my favorites too... I just wish I would've taken the posters down to create less "noise" around the tank.

Thanks Edward!

garrick,

here's a tip for you.. buy a big bottle of vinegar and put your powerheads in it for 20-30mins. clean your powerheads off and they will look like new and perform like new. makes a world of a difference.
