I just got done getting my 150 6 foot tank set up and got all my stuff moved over my my 44 gallon. It is a mixed reef 150 gallon main, 60 gallon sump, and 30 gallon fuge. Right now I got 2 false perc clowns, 1 chalk bass, and one scooter blenny. I got a mix of soft and lps corals. I am getting in on local group buy and I think I am going to get a PB tang. What are some other ideas for reef safe fish? How many fish can I QT in a 30 gallon tank at one time? Thanks for the help!

Sorry I forgot to say I keep hermit crabs and cleaner shrimp I did not know you could have any triggers with them?

If I were you I would hold off on the PBT. I would add that fish last. They can be very territorial, and get very aggressive towards new tank mates.
I would add a pair of wrasses, one of my favorites would be a pair of African Leopard(add when tank is a little more established for a good pod population), a male and harem of Lyretail Anthia, some sort of blenny for algae control, some fire fish, pair of mandarin dragonets( when the tank is more mature).

Totally agree. PBT is very aggressive and should be the last fish added. FYI my 3" PBT kicked my 6" French angel out of her home when i added the PBT.

Thanks for the heads up on the BPT. It wont take long for the tank to become more established about 60 lbs of 2 year old LF come from my 44 gallon full of pods. Also I have over 100 lbs of 3 year old LR full of pods in my 100 gallon Rubbermaid sump. I am still going to hold off on the mandarins till my fuge gets settled in. I am 100% for sure going to get a harem of Lyretail Anthia I am thinking 3 or 4 hoping they will school. Thanks for the ideas guys! Keep them coming.

Definitely not the leopard and the mandari together even with your fudge. They'll most likely out compete the mandarin for pod and food. I might also skip the fire fish if yiu're going to try tangs and wrasse. They make the tank too busy and a little on the aggressive side. I had a fire fish died in a 180 because it was hidding too much and starved to death.

Thanks I am not a big fan of the fire fish I would much rather have more movement in the tank. I am for sure going to get a wrasse just not sure what one there is a lot out there that are reef safe.
