150 SCA Shadow Overflow - Custom Stand

Starting a fresh build thread. This wont be a glamorous build with top equipment, but rather a slowly pieced together build. But I wanted to start out right. So I placed an order today for SCA 150 and having a new friend build out the stand.

Here are the specs so far:
150 SCA w/ 16" Shadow overflow (Plan to setup using BA overflow to sump)
Custom stand housing 40 gal breeder sump
2 Vipar Spectre 165w LED's (Will upgrade these eventually, maybe add a 3rd light)
Bubble Magus BM-180 (Plan to upgrade)
Couple of Hydor Koralia 1150's (Want to upgrade)
Refugium Light: Kessil A160 (Leftover, should work well?)

Still Need:
Plumbing to come after stand build
Return Pump *How much flow here? I am thinking around 900gph*
Upgraded Protein Skimmer
More/Upgraded powerheads?
ATO System
Battery Backup
**Insert your suggestions here**

On a previous build, I diverted some of the return pump's flow into my refugium to supply the waterflow, is this what most are doing? So should I get something like a 1100gph return and let some go into refugium?

So it has begun, accidentally. This morning I was organizing the garage and started mounting the RODI on the wall and did the most embarrassing thing of the year. I mistook my new home's water main for a stud....when the valve is mounted right by my feet. Idk I was in a hurry or daydreaming about my tank on the way. Anyhow, water spewed everywhere, but I turned a bad thing into a good thing and added a water valve for my RODI so now I don't have to run the water hose into the garage every time I want to mix up some water. Thought you guys would enjoy my misery on a saturday morning.

Is it bad that I laughed at this?... :)

I'm going to stop and get the wood for your stand on the way home from work. Have the plans and cut list sorted out.

Scott.

Tank has arrived in all its glory. No issues or damage that I could find. Starting to get excited about filling it up!

update, I am in the cycling process now, we made it through the custom stand build, moving the tank inside (that was fun), and the plumbing. I tried not to cut any corners on the plumbing, besides things like a manifold, but I also have plenty of spare pieces to add onto the plumbing later.

I made it to my first reef conference (Reef Currents in Houston) and picked up my first corals, currently being babysat by a friend.

Here is some pics of the journey so far.
