Heres my new 150. Should be ready for water by the weekend. J/k :p
I got it today and removed the bottom pane because it cracked. I decided to do a pvc bottom. Hopefully i can get it cleaned up this week and get the pvc next weekend. The dims are 48"x48"x15"


 
Ill plant my fist in Josh's face! LOL!

Im not sure what i want to do yet about the flow. Since im going with the pvc bottom i might to a closed loop and have the returns coming out the bottom and hide em in the rockwork. I kinda want to sell my vortech and get some tunzes but idk yet.
I havent sold the 90 yet.
 
Can't wait to see this build. I love the look of a shallow reef! Maybe what Josh means is plant some mangroves? I think it would be nice to have the rock work come up out of the water and then to have some sort of plant above the water line.

Im not sure what I want to do with the aquascape. I know im going to have a tough time lighting this thing due to the width.
 
Maybe a full sized Lumenarc with 250w lights. A lumenarc 10-12" from the water is supposed to cover 3' X 3'...maybe mount it a bit higher and if the edges are a bit darker, use it for favias, dendros or other low light coral....just a thought.....or you could go LEDs :D
 
Yeah that's pretty much what I was thinking. I have 2 full size luminarcs, im gunna have to play with the height.
 
Thanks Ryan. Ima do the pvc myself. There is also a piece of the euro brace missing that I need to replace.
 
I bet with a fullsize luminarc you should be able to cover the whole tank.. Im covering 95" of my 48" tank with a luminarc mini and a 250w.. that tank is going to be sweet when it's all done
 
Umm I think I remember that tank! Did it come from Elliott? Either way I'm sure it will be an awesome tank. Good luck Brian.
 
Yeah i got it from Elliot. I got the overflow off and some of the blue paint off the back wall today. Im gunna paint the back black, and im not sure what im doing with the overflow yet.
 
You have Thea room for a really nice coast to coast. Some people dont like the look of them I love the idea of all surface skimming you can get.! It will be nice either way.
