Yeah. I need to do something with it. My buddy and handyman is coming over to help do more plumbing and we might move that into the fish room or cover it. Thanks for the heads up.
Here is a pic of the fish room as it is now. Still have more work to do, but its coming along. Wires are not finished yet
The room is fairly small. It's the closet under the steps. I cannot stand up after a couple feet in. I still have to finish wiring, some plumbing for the two 25 gallon tanks and install the Auto Water Change & Dosers. (BRS Dosers, Gensis Renew AWC system).
Working on my Gensis Renew system today. Definitely not done, but its getting there. Going from tubing to PVC with slip unions on each pvc pipe so the buckets can come off without an issue when needed.
Hoping to have this done this week and start doing auto water changes.
Had my first set back. I should have seen it coming and it was 100% my fault as I broke rule #1. Don't move to fast. In a rush to get rid of my 90 gallon I think I overstocked the 165 and bam. I lost a Sargassum Trigger, Clowfish & Flame Angel. Probably going to lose my Powder Brown and possibly the other clownfish, but so far the Chromis, Wrasse and inverts/shrimp/clams are doing ok.
But with that came my wake up call to setup a quarantine system for fish, inverts and corals. On the local forums I put out a call for those who had spare tanks and last night a young man came out and dropped off tanks, filters, etc. Today I made a stand and ordered my copper and other items I will need to treat fish.
Here are the pics of the stand I made today as well as the tanks. I had a 400W MH light sitting around from years ago (I knew when I left 15 years ago that I would get back into the hobby ).
Now to read up on setup for all these tanks. I believe I have heaters and pumps etc, that i need just want to make sure I set it up all perfectly. From now on all fish get quarantined and same with corals.
Currently 4 fish have made it through so far. I am setting up some QT tanks and should be moving the fish over this week to make the DT fallow for 12. Meanwhile I have also been working on the AWC system. I have limited space and I still need to clean up cables and protect the Apex outlet, but here are the pics.
Note the salinity bucket for comparison. In general I have about 30" wide by 48" or so. Not a lot of room and I cannot stand up past the AWC buckets.
