... designing my new closed loop idea?
I have a few questions though one of them is would this be too many holes in the bottom of the tank or would due to the size of the tank it be OK?
it is ok! no big deal... what the thickness of the bottom glass? remember to keep the hole 5 1/2" (14cm) away from the glass border.
will post more drawings so the direction of the flow becomes clear later.
lets first stick with the too many holes or just fine?
in the following image, you can mix the outlets of the both OM 4way, something like this:
Pump and OM (A): two outlets in the right corner, two outlets in the left corner.
Pump and OM (B): two outlets in the left corner, two outlets in the right corner.
doing this, you can take water from one corner leave it on another corner and vice versa, got it?
and I may suggest you a flow schema like this, for four hours just the pump and OM (A) turned ON, the flow will be like this:
for one hour, both pumps ans OM (A and B) turned ON flowing like this, chaotic, right? :
for another four hours just the pump and OM (B) turned ON, flowing like this:
The large holes from the drains will be 1 1/2" holes and the smaller holes are 3/4" to run into loc lines
if you decide to go with reeflo super dart gold, the inlet holes will be about 2"... and about the outlet holes, I saw you're using Oceans Motions 4 way, right? You can use Omni Flex Nozzles from Oceans Motions too check this out: >>>>
