165Gl to 1000Gl system upgrade (Long project)

I'm definitely tagging along. As I'm looking to move to Bangkok, I'm interested in your build. I'm sorry to hear about the tank. Seeing the glass tank hang over the truck bed, I was worried about a crack. Where do you get your fish from? Do you collect locally or thru a local local shop?

nice let me know when your planning on coming to Bkk
yeah I buy my fishes local for now. Am actually looking into the idea on opening my own fish store here so I can start importing my fishes from Philippines and Indonesia. Would love to set up the complete aquarium store here from building to installing and maintaining tanks here.

having a little set back I think nothing major
but seem to be having an electricity leak in my sump right now. Only 3 pumps left in there so the search of which one should take too long.
Not sure if I want to put my hands in there just every time to check which pump it actually is lol.

Buy yourself a cheap AVO meter, set it to AC~ Voltage, put one probe to a ground connector and the other in the tank water and stay shock free.

Ok started the construction of my scrubber as I had the fuge cleaned out and ready to be set up again

the air-stone will be fitted in the down PVC tube with a slit made in it to maintain a steady stream of bubbles over the scree that will be fitted later.
Am waiting for my Dremel to make the slits.

did some aqua-scape for the seahorse tank to get ready for water.
Still sand on the bottom needed.
Will be heading to Singapore next week to pick up loads of algae to fill this tank with
Some Red Bamboo would be real nice
Any other macros you guys can think of that would be nice?

the Dremel finally arrived so had my first screen for the AUS installed.
made grooves on the outside PVC to lock the screen and a groove on the bottom PVC where the air-stone is installed inside.
The screen was made very rough with a saw blade.
One more screen to go tomorrow.

Finished up the second screen
the actual size from both screens is 6" x 8.2" and 6" x 9.8"
Have plumbed the flow to the screen into the total return of the Refugium and will be controllable.
not sure if the stones I have used will give me enough bubbles but I guess I will have to try that when adding some water to see what kind of performance I am getting.

glass has arrived just minutes ago.
Pictures to follow
first problem has already come up though as the bulkheads were bought with a so called 80mm diameter but they seem to be 81mm so the holes in the glass are drilled 80mm??
Will try to sand off .5mm of the bulkheads threads... more to follow.

as promised not one hour ago just arrived

OK first question for the group in here
the following

TANK A is a 98 gallon (374Ltr) tank which will be holding mainly seahorses and some smaller fish. maybe a Gorgian will be placed in there as well. How much flow would I get into this tank from my sump.

same question for TANK B is 129 gallon (490Ltr) which will be holding mainly macro algae and I might try and set up a Jaubert System DSB
again how much flow would I push through this one?
