165Gl to 1000Gl system upgrade (Long project)

am flat in bed now for the last 3 days with some bacterial stomach problem as the tank has been almost completed.
Only the external overflow box needs to be made and attached now. Will update with more picture as soon as I get a bit better.
Also decided that it would be better to start all new later on so had all my fish sold to a local shop here to make sure I start all fresh when I am ready for it. Think it would be easier to control the water quality later to start with everything new instead of having half the system full with my old fish and water.

I'm hoping that you feel better soon.

OK finally better and ready to get going again.
Had a change of hart and moved some large piece of furniture to the outside to support the Refugium tank.
Looks much better and the actual size of the tank on top of it.
Had also the lights back installed.

A nice look. Do you have issues with flooding during the rainy season?

Hi again, I must have missed it, who made the submersible pumps in your update today?

Mutley,
The small one is the feed pump for the chiller outside.
its a Taam Rio Hyperflow 20HF (1350GpH)
the large one is the feed pump for the Fuge and Seahorse Tank.
its a Sonic 12000 (3100GpH)
this last one will be most likely changed out at a later stage.

Today had the closed loop plumbing finished.
Me being 198cm it wasn't a real pleasure being under the tank for that long.

cut and added the eggcrate in the main display to prevent any rock damaging the bottom pane.

with the left over eggcrate started setting up my Jaubert compartment in my Fuge. The bottom part will be 2" high.

Also added more old coral to the display of the seahorse tank to create more height.

had quit a lot of work done as I will be leaving for work again tomorrow flying to Sydney Australia.
Had my refugium covered with an old tent sail I still had.
Reason for doing is is that the Refugium is outside the house so if the light will be on most in the night hours it is a fancy fair for all kind of buggs. With this sail there is hardly any light shining out so I hope to reduce the amount of bugs in the water in the morning.
I think it will also help the other way around keeping as much light as possible focused in the tank instead of out of it.
anyway here some pictures.
