should I use a Reeflo Dart or Reef Octopus waterblaster HY10000
what would be the cons or pros for both pumps?

ok 4 more days before I get back home
as no one helped out on this one I bought 2 Reef Octopus Diablo DC10500 pumps for the closed loop. They will be waiting for me as I get home
Hope I made the right choice.

will be rearranging the plumbing work under the tank too as I will be placing both closed loop pumps across the other wall having them much closer to the tank thus loosing not as much pressure I hope.

saw them today on my daily webcam chat with the wife they look sweet

Just went through the enter thread, what a roller coaster ride. The time and treasurer alone is epic. Enjoyed it a lot,happy reefing from here on out.
Has far has the Dc10500 pumps go I have never used one,most of us in the States use AC pumps, but the DC pumps have lots of head room, push a lot of water and use less watts, whats not to love. Can't wait for more updates, thanks Mike.

a roller coaster it sure has been hope I will be getting more upward slopes now then that one big drop I had a few months ago though

finally back home. Got home late last night around 4.00am
This morning up early to bring my son to school and back home felt like Christmas soo many boxes waiting for me.

also started to tear down the closed loop under the tank
and this is where the holes will come to install the pumps on the other side of that wall.

also connected and started the RO/DI installing
After the RO stage I did a little TDS comparison with all water available here
Tap water TDS 135
bought drinking water TDS 156

it looks like the machine is working

Hope to finalize the plumbing of the closed loop tomorrow
and then there is only one more thing to do......
WATER.......
will be testing first with regular tap water check for leaks anywhere .... where is the wood so I can knock on it...
Then add a good amount of vinegar for one final clean of all of the tanks and equipment empty and one more final filling up for one more final rinse and check for leaks.
Then it will be a very large fresh ocean water order going out.
Hope to have everything ready by the end of this week.

All I can say is wow maybe one day I can have my monster tank but my 180 will have to do for now. Tagging along
