Hey guys i was wondering whats the most light youve put over a minibow 7 gal. Ive read people putting 175 watt of halide plus 32 watts of pc over 10 gallon tanks with no problems. Do you think this will be overkill or can it work for me. I built a three sided hood thats about 8 inches off the water and have a large clip fan to run through the open back. The reason i ask this is because i can get a 175 watt halide set up for 140..the same price id pay for 70 watts basically. Also id like to upgrade to a 24 gal tank in the future so wouldnt want to have to buy another ballast for that tank. Let me know what you think.
