18" tweezers

i'm considering placing an order through this site for the 18" tweezer so i can feed my corals w/o getting my hands wet in the tank. anybody else interested in it?

theres other companies that carry tools for that purpose however do not carry super long tweezers.

do you know if they're stainless steel?

You may want to check if it's stainless steel for rust issues, I got my tweezers from ebay.

it'll rust if its stainless steel or not. i had a stainless steel tweezer and eventually rusted. my brother used it on his volkswagen to remove something. i'm not going to stick that thing in my tank after that..

Sam,

You're right, even most stainless steel will rust. The thing is that if it's SS, it will take longer to rust. In addition, if you rinse well, it less like to rust. I'd still check to see if it's ss.

I use it for my tank and it works great. I just enlarged the hole a little with a knife.

Ed showed me a trick for the baster. I bought a baster from WalMart and put air tubing in the end. Then used the "green" handle from a fish net. The tubing fits right in the hole of the baster and the long green wire handle wraps around the baster and extends about 18" from the tip of the baster. I unwraveled the green wire to make it straight.The tubing wraps around the green wire. So the wire is the guide for the tubing. Never clogs and does the job lovely. Thanks Ed!

I use a turkey baster and buy a rigid tube to fit in the turkey baster. Cut the tube to whatever size and that's how I've been feeding the lps. But it can get messy this way.
