180-220 Build

WDLV

Skunk Hybrid Freak
Sorry. No pics here yet but if you'll bare with me there will be in time....

Time is of the essence. I will be moving in early November and I would like to set up another tank in the 180-220 size range rather than having to set up my 45 cubes at the new location. I will likely be buying a used tank and drilling one side so the system can be displayed as a peninsula. For those of you who know me and have followed previous threads; one, thank you and two, this system will be very much in the direction of what I love about reefing. That is to say that the main focus of the system will be clowns. I will sadly be paying for this upgrade with funds from the sale of two leucokranos pairs but this is a necessary measure for me not to continue to need to keep multiple tanks. It took waaaay too much time away from my family.
This display will feature linear flow technology using closed loops powered by a sequence product (probably a hammerhead) and the rockscaping will be constructed with the intention of maximizing flow. The rockscape will also be rough and knobby so as to house as many BTAs of various morphs as it can hold. I have selected BTAs as my anemone of choice because of their hardiness, their ability to divide via binary fission, the variety of morphs available and because... well... I like them. I will also incorporate some cheap soft corals into the display early on but I expect that they will be choked out by the anemones in time.
Other fish species will include tangs for maintenance, a couple species of aptasia eating butterflies, 200-300 CB ocellaris and sandaracinos clowns and maybe some angels, wrasses and fairy basslets. On that note if anyone knows a sandaracinos breeder, I'd like to get in contact with them. I'd be looking to take a clutch off their hands while they're still rather small (.5"-.75".)

Hopefully I will have my sump design nailed down soon so I can get started with this.

Sump equipment will include my 1/3 HP chiller, Euroreef CS12-2 skimmer, 2x500W titanium heaters each with their own controller and probably a few monitors in time. Oh, and a massive ball of cheatomorpha.

Lighting will be provided by 3-4 250W MH on Lumenarc A3 Minis just because that's what I have and really all I need. I might add in some moonlight LEDs though.
