I would take legal action.
Stupidity is something I can never tolerate anymore, you (and your tank) don't have to suffer because of their mistake.
Might be usefull to inform them that they will be killing some rare species in your tank which might cost them.

The generator has been returned and everything is back up and running! I am also the happy recipient of 3 months of free services!

New SPS coming to the tank next week hopefully. I am also seeing the existing SPS color up, and I'm seeing quite a bit of polyp extension in the other. I'll try for photos once I get my camera back to the condo here.

WOW! sweet. I think it's a friday the 13th thing. It has been a weird day.
I was really irritated with a customer today, I basically told him to leave, because I had work to do, and return when he has his ____ together.
the next person who came to see me brought me a 12 pack of Corona. Then my GF's little sister texted me asking me to help her shave some pigs...go figure

Nice! Oh yeah to day is the 13th!

Haha, well things are going much better for me today. We saw the Hulk at lunch, much better then the original one. Now I'm headed off to fish shop.

FREE electricity? Awesome...that's a pleasant plot twist!!!

Glad to hear everyone's doing well...now let's see some pictures!!!

These followed me home from the store, along with a pair of shrimp.

They all enjoyed a nice dip in TMPCC, and are now starting a few days of lighting acclimation in our system.

I also forgot to mention that I saw a VorTech today in action, and really liked it. I also saw the battery back up, and its nice and compact. I think I want a pair, or maybe three, however I need to think through where I would place them, and how I could use them optimally within our system. I want to try and wait for MACNA to purchase them, however, I know myself, I have little self control, so no promises.

I am also going to pull out some rock soon, maybe tomorrow and see about building a pillar in the tank, and arranging the small islands for my new SPS. I want to hold the pillar together with a combination of epoxy, and maybe thorite. I want to avoid having to drill the pieces, or add in PVC or acrylic rods. Anyone see any problems with using either of these? I would probably cure them again after before returning them to the tank.

I can get in close enough but it has beautiful orange tips so far. I hope they all brighten up further!

We are making a few changes tonight. Its amazing what being away from your system for a week will inspire you to do!

Thank you!

Tonight;
- changes to the canopy; lining up both reflectors
- Adding on the kalk. reactor into the top-off bucket
- Attempting to catch the overflow fish
- Sump?

Tomorrow;
- Second MH goes online (its after lights off already)
- More sump stuff
- Finalization on the return plumbing details
- Photos!

Glad all worked out fine in the end.
Free electricity for hree months Great, up your halides to 400s.
Very nice additions hope they make it fine in your tank.
Do you have a screen or anything on your dusros for a fish to stay in the overflow and not get sucked?

I have a strainer in the overflow to prevent them from going down into the "sump".

We never got the lighting moved. I opened my 250w bulb packaging and found a 400w bulb inside. I sent it back this morning, and will have a new one by Friday. Expedited shipping is good stuff! I guess we'll move the reflectors once we get our second bulb because I would have to move all the corals and clams otherwise.

Kevin says he is going to try and do sump work tonight. We have a space now to build the sump and don't have to worry about it getting hit while the silicone is setting.

We have an Ozonizer coming to us shortly. We never planned for one initially so now we need to figure out where and how it will fit in with everything else.

I also hear that pre-orders stopped for the RKE, and so I'm hoping that ours will be shipping out and arriving in the near future. I really want it to show up so I have one more thing to play with and be entertained by.

I also hear that some very pretty clams arrived in town today, so I'm trying to figure out how I can show up to get clams, and make it to both sports practices tonight without getting in trouble!

We've decided to end our house hunt until the new year. I'm having a really hard time finding a job, and now that I've hit the 6 month mark of being unemployed, we don't want to jump into owning another house without having the extra income that a full-time job would offer. While we could go ahead and buy with just Kevin's job and my part-time job, we don't think it would be right. I guess we are going to be stuck in our condo for another 6 months. At least my tank is pretty to look at, and I can enjoy the view all day long!

Some more photos

I want a photo tube to try and take top down shots.

Do you hook yours onto the side of your tank? I know I want a photo box or tube, so I guess now I need to figure out what exactly I want, and to make it or have it made.

Trying to teach myself some top down shots without a photo box;

don't really hook it into the tank. The lip you see is just a way to steady the box on the edge of the tank. Then you can pivot to get your subject .
