Way to long!

Way to long!

Sorry about the delay in the update guys and gals... Collegiate golf is kickin my butt!!!!

On other notes, I finally ordered my new protein skimmer. I went with the Super Reef Octopus Space Saver with the new Bubble Blaster Pump.. Capable of 300 Gallons, and I hold about 210 gallons total..

I am also looking into my supplements for the tank, I am leaning towards SEACHEM for all of my dosing needs... Anyone have any experience with these chemicals, and can give me a little advice or information on them?

I have no more ammonia and my trites and trates are processing themselves in a timely fashion.. Should be anyday now :)

There has been some action going on in my 55 Gal since I last spoke with you all as well..

(1) Flame Angel
(1) Yellow Tang
(1) Bi-Color angel

The Flame Angel is eating everything in site as far as my bristleworms and aptasia... I didn't think they had these tendencies.

As far as the livestock goes, I removed almost all the rock to catch my 4 damsels that I had in there when I first started the tank cycle... WHAT A JOKE, I cant believe how hard it was to catch those punks!!!! I gave them back to the fish store, so someone else can enjoy them like I did.

Look forward to hearing from you all...

Update woo hooo!!!!!

Update woo hooo!!!!!

So lets start out by saying my cycle completed two weeks ago, and I have since put in my two Snowflake eels, and two Ocellaris clowns. I have a piece of some coral that came with the LR from my buddies tank, so I could seed mine.

Couple of changes have been made to the tank setup. I will post pictures attached to this thread reply so you can see the progress. I moved the sump from underneath my display tank and moved it behind the wall, and then replumbed the supply and return lines.

I have since also purchased a Super Reef Octopus SSS 5000, and I must say, with the New Bubbleblaster pump, this thing is a beast!!!:bounce1:

My clowns keep picking on my two eels, which I find to be quite entertaining, and I believe they are both enjoying this as well. They both seem to be very peaceful of each other.

I even saw the clown and the eel touch noses, how weird is that?! I will post the pictures in a minute for you all to see!

Pictures!!!

Here are some pictures!!! There is not many, I noticed this when I docked my camera. I will take some more pictures tonight of the completed project for everyone to enjoy!

No more eels!

No more eels!

UPDATE!

So I just ordered my 180 Gal clean up crew from VIVID Aquariums DOT com. I also preceded to purchase a Desjardini Sailfin Tang, (1) Frog Spawn, and (1) Kryptonite Candy Cane. I have also changed the aquascape ONE last time...

BIGGEST UPDATE OF THEM ALL!!!! I GOT RID OF MY EELS!!!!!!

Can anyone give me some advice on the type of epoxy I can use to secure rock in an existing tank without causing any water problems, and without hurting my stock...? I want to prevent any rock from tipping over and to also secure my frag plugs to the holes in the rocks..

Sold my 100 lbs of LR from my 55 gallon tank to setup a QT tank for my 180... I have an outbreak of ICH and I had to remove all of my fish because my blue tang "Therman" decided he was going to be a punk infest my tank with crap...

So I have been fighting to catch the last blenny in my tank before I start the hypo treatment on my 55 inhabitants...

Ordered a Neptune APEX controller... Set me back about 550$... Ph Orb, salinity, and various other goodies I got with it... This thing is going to be sweet...

I have the network adapter as well, so I can set up a live feed on my fish tank for complete 24/7 viewing...

Also considering purchasing some Vortech Controllers :) 2-3 of em... Thoughts?

Sorry brycen, I got rid of my eels and went to a a peaceful reef tank instead. I will say that those eels did grow in the 3 weeks I had them... Wow!
