180 gallon build

I have a question about this build.

My plan was to have a 60 gallon fuge only tank, but not sure thats going to work out. Would a 40 gallon fuge (20x20x24) be big enough for a 180 gallon tank? Just to be clear, my sump is a separate tank from my fuge!

I believe that's big enough. You can grow a good amount of Chaetomorpha in a refugium that size. I have read in many threads that MarsHydro and Kessil H are great light sources to accelerate growth.

40 is small, but will work with a good overflow system. too small and any deviation to your overflow will drain your return chamber.
