180 gallon diy plumbing critic

Hello,

Attached is a picture of my dry plumbing for my 180 gallon. I bought it used and drilled already. Tank had a built in center overflow with 3 holes ( 1x1.5 & 2x3/4). I use the 1.5 to drain into my sump. Didn't use the 2x3/4 as returns because I wanted a emergency drain. The return will be on the side back holes which are 3/4. Picture below shows 2 returns and 2 for draining the tank. The return are on top and one on each side. The draining will be the two inner middle ones.

First time with this size of a tank and plumbing work. Please let me know if i should change or add anything beside supporting pvc pipe.

Did I read that right? Your returns on a 180 are 3/4"? If so, that's profoundly less than ideal, bordering on preposterous. Also, did you say your emergency drain is 3/4" as well?

Here's what I would do. I think I see four bulkheads at the top of the tank. I would drill them all for 1.5" bulkheads, and then drill a fifth one in between the two middle ones, get a coast to coast overflow fabricated at your local acrylics shop, and run this as a Bean. Plug all of the remaining holes and scape over them. That's what I'd do.

I mean it fits 3/4 bulk head so holes is 1.5inches.

Your plumbing is good. Agree with above comments, just be on the safe side. Don't forget to paint now than later
