I'm looking for advice on which fish I should cut from the list and also cool fish that I could add.

Tangs:
Achilles Tang - I would leave these beauties in the ocean.

Blue tang - I find these too "common" i would cut.

Powder Blue Tang - If you can find a healthy and eating one, go for it!

Sailfin Tang - I would cut, these things just get HUGE too quick.

Dwarf Angels:

Flame Angelfish - cool.

Coral Beauty Angelfish - i would avoid and just do the flame.

Basslets:

Chalk Basslet - cool.

Marine Beta - really cool.

Blue Assessor - dope.

Blennies:

Scooter Blenny - Very hard to care for IMO, i would avoid.

Sailfin Blenny - cool.

Lawnmower Blenny - Avoid since these things live off of algae so unless you like to neglect your tank, no go.

Tail Spot Blenny - cool.

Banggai Cardinalfish - 6 - Yes and very cool schoolers.

Ocellaris Clownfish - pair - the "norm" so i would not.

Black Ocellaris Clownfish - pair - cool.

Green Chromis - 8 - either this or the blues

blue Chromis - 4 - above.

Firefish - 2 - Crazy jumpers so have a net

Green Mandarin Dragonet - pair either these or wrasses, and your tank MUST be mature!

Spotted Dragonet - above.

Gobies:
Green Clown Goby - cool.
Orange Stripe Prawn Goby - dope.

Falco Hawkfish - cool.

Blue Spot Jawfish - Awesome but a jumper.

Foxface Rabbitfish - strive for the magnificent one.

Wrasses:
Banded Possum Wrasse - cool.

McCosker's Flasher Wrasse - cool.

Christmas Wrasse - cool.

Niger Triggerfish - cool.

This is my opinion. Hope that helps, Wiz ;)

Achilles Tang are very difficult to keep and will not tolerate other Tangs in the tank, I would pass on it.
Angels may not get along, but in a 180 they will most likely each find a territory to live in.
The basslets, blennies and firefish are all going to compete for the same turf, I would limit it to two or three at the most. Only one firefish unless you are lucky enough to find a mated pair, otherwise they will find and kill each other.

This is my opinion. Hope that helps, Wiz ;)

Thanks!

so you think the niger trigger and the marine beta will be ok with the other tank mates. Considering I'm putting them in last.

And with the foxface, what did you mean by "strive for the magnificent one.".

Bangaii cardinals do not school...if you buy 6, you'll probably end up with 2. I would think the marine betta would eat your small fish. Niger triggers can be aggressive but I've also heard of some that are really peaceful. I'd stick with one tang. Make sure the tank is covered, you have some jumpers in that list.

Thanks!

I'm guessing they mean Magnificent Foxface! It's the only foxface worth MY $$. ;)
