180 on it's side.

We're trying to get a 180 into our basement and it seems the only way to do it will to have the 180 on its side. Will the tank break or suffer any damage resting on its side? Can the structure take it?

No, you can put a block in to reduce the stress on the glass. YOu will be fine.

take it easy as am sure you will and give it alot of support like putting your arms as far down the tank as possible and then if i were you i'd tank test it to make sure the seal hasnt broken.

We actually have to leave it in the dining room. To get it downstairs we'd have to disassemble the entire bannister

Our current issue is actually levelling the tank. Its about 1 inch off going front to back and an inch too high on one side going down the length, i think. Its a bit difficult with a tank+stand weighing 400lbs and no clear instructions on levelling.
