180 Reef in Alaska

Now that the temp is up I added 40lbs of Fiji Pink sand, some rocks from my 75 and 2 Chromis.

You are welcome. My build is coming on its 16 month. But along the way I miscalculated alot of things and that is because of inexperience especially with something of this size I am dealing with. Keep chugging along. You are doing a great job.

UPDATE

The 2 Chromis are still alive and well in the 180. I also put in an ******* Maroon thats been in my sump for the 75 for the past couple of months. All three fish are doing well and are happy with all the swimming room. I will slowly start adding things over to it here and there.

I ordered 2 Cortez Sting Rays from my LFS and they came in today. Unfortuntly the supplier sent 2 males rather then a male and female. They are about 3 1/2" across. I figure I will get both because regardless of sex they do better in pairs.

Also Brought home this beauty and put in a new tank set up just for him. He is the highest grade and best looking Red Dragon Flower Horn in the State of Alaska.

UPDATE

Got all 3 Radions hung and started getting things moved in!

I still have a lot of aquascaping to do mainly for these guys...2 Cortez Rays i ordered from my LFS that came in on friday.

Heres a Video of my tank currently. Everything seems to be doing very well. The rays are still adjusting. They are little fatties, always trying to eat and will already eat out of my hand.

Has anyone ever been working on their tank and say "Dang it, where are the paper towels?" I came up with this brilliant idea (or so i think) $2.50 at Lowes

Max size is supposed to be 13.5" as to if they will really get that big im not sure.

I'm in the valley, I have a 120 I've had set up for a few years.
Our local frag swap club kinda disban this last year. I was hoping Tim might get something going through his website but he's aweful busy.

how far do you have them off the water surface? and how tall is your canopy?

They are 9 inches off the surface. My canopy is 17 inches tall.
Plenty of work area and the lights dont get in my way at all.

Yeah, I got them from Alaska Coral.
I have been working on getting my own website up to have an Aquatic club again. I should have something up and going by the end of this month or next.
