180 tank for sale

I need to get this 180 out of my garage. The back glass is broken, but if you are resourceful like Igor, you might know someone who can work on replacing the back glass. Igor took one completely apart and refinished it... It is reef ready and has dual corner overflows (bottom is drilled). I'd like $50 for it.

Now we are talking a sump upgrade! What are dimensions, you have seen my sump table...think it would fit? I'm sure I could MacGyver a fix.
Post a pic, so my MacGyvering mind can start to work on a realistic fix :D

Rick

Both scare the bejesus out of me;).

Rick it is a 6'x2'x2' tank. I'll get some pics up, but it is facing away from access, so the pics will be more of the back side (painted black) unless I can get something to come out from another angle. It is a standard 180. The bottom is drilled, so they would need to be plugged. I tossed the idea of fixing it myself (Ashley mentioned that the glass to do it would only run about $60-80), but I don't think I've got time right now, with all of the other fun crap going on...

Oh my ... the only thing worse than McGyver-Rick is McGyver-RCMike.

;)

Yep, just give em a plastic spoon, some plywood, a toothpick and some chewed gum and pow! 2000 gallon shark tank

Here are a couple of pics, Rick. The first just shows the tank. The second is supposed to be a shot of the back glass showing the break lines. The whole back glass is in trouble.

RCMIKE: I don't know about you but I find this to be a compliment! Now, exactly who do they come to with questions about their problems? And what can they do with duct tape and a knife, not to mention PVC and batteries :D

LONG LIVE McGyver!!!!!!

COUNT: I tried to keep the words small in this reply so even you can understand their meaning

McGyver-Rick

Just measured the table, while I could fit the tank, I would have no room for accessory mechanics. Sorry...but as much as I would like to enlarge sump to this size, I'm out of room.
Gee, maybe it's time to enlarge the pump room, what do you think the wife would say :D

Rick

Rick,

Did you see the Simpsons Sunday night? Marge's sisters Patty and Selma kidnapped McGyver;). The Simpsons have been getting funnier again over the last month or so...

Steve,

It is just cracked, but in several places. For a reptile tank, I'd think you could probably silicone some plexiglass or Lexan to the inside and/or the outside and be fine. There are holes where the closed loop was set up, but the plexi could cover that. Let me know if you're interested.

The holes could be a good thing for ventalation in a reptile tank.

Rick, do a Shawshank Credention (sp?) deal, just scoop a little dirt from the crawlspace every day with a small pick and dump it in the front yard. Soon you can say, "look honey our crawlspace looks big enouph for a bigger sump suddenly!

I've actually got someone coming this weekend for the stand and canopy. I'm devising a plan for a larger tank, though...

Sorry, I have been busy building a skimmer out of a can of spam, a garden trowel, and an old TV remote. Thanks for the er, um, compliment...I think. Oh, and Chris. A plastic spoon won't work. It has to be a spork.

Gary, just wick some thin CA into the crack and you'll be okay. lol
