No, it was a generation 1, and didnt have a gate valve. so to adjust it, I think you had to adjust raise it in the water level. I ended up spending the extra $100 and got a new Octopust 250 pro. Just gotta place the order tomorrow from Salty supply. He knocked $50 off of it for me, and some cash off of my lighting also.

Yeah, hes worked with me a bit recently. And Ive been a real PITA as far as pricing and flip flopping. So I figure itd be wrong of me to go elsewhere. Especially since he matched everyone elses prices.

pump starts backwards, Volute is being redesigned. advertised as 50scfh only pulling 30scfh.

will your have those issues fixed?

Hey GSM Id imagine its fixed. On the octopus thread everyone who had problems had the new volute shipped to them already, free of charge. So Id like to hope that mine would come with the new volute off the bat. I suppose I should ask that question though.

definitely, they should really do well with the new volute, they just did not go far enough to copy the RD volute the first time.

I'm never up at 4 a.m. Ok, sometimes. But I've gotten better at sleeping with a screaming baby in my bed. Since I know you like a good t-bone, here's a recent pic of the little man:

He grew 2" and gained 3 lbs. 4 ozs. in one month. At this rate, he's going to bully me around when he's seven.
