19 inch red carpet

just getting some suggestions. i have a very healthy red carpet hosting a pair of black ice. it is getting to be way too big for my 250. when fully expand it is almost 20 inches! do i just have to keep making rooms for it or is there a way to split it...God forbid :lol2:

To my knowledge, they do not survive more than a year after being cut. I would not suggest it.

If it is a haddoni it should not get much larger then it currently is (some have gotten slightly larger then yours but not much), If it is a true carpet (dont know if I have seen a red one) then it could grow quite a bit larger.

If you would like to delay growth slow down feedings to once/twice a month if you currently feed more.

i think it is a hadoni. will try to get a pix. dont mind so much about the size but i need the real estate for my brains and scolies lol. i am only feeding it once in a while. whole frozen shrimps. it eats everything i guess we just make room
