Get ready to put on your poker faces!


Announcing the first annual FMAS Poker Run, on Saturday March 8th, 2014.


Whether you are a seasoned poker player, or you have no idea what a flush is, we would love to have you come out and have fun with us. No skills necessary - we promise!

Rules:

1. Make sure you are a current FMAS member.

2. On Saturday, March 8th, visit at least 5 of the following stores:

Elite Marine Life - (http://www.elitemarinelifeaquariums.com/)
Marine Net Inc - (http://www.marinenetinc.com/)
Coral Kingdom - (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Coral-Kingdom/413368658694996)
Exotic Aquatic - (http://www.exoticaquatic.com/)
EcoReef - (http://www.ecoreefaquarium.com/)
(2 more stores TBA)

(If you visit more than 5 stores, you have the opportunity to make the best hand that you know how. It does require some knowledge, but this is totally optional. And that's what google is for.)

3. At each store, check out what they have! Several of the stores are also offering discounts to FMAS members only.

4. Ask for a poker card.

5. Turn your hand in by 6PM (location TBD).

Prizes:
Grand prize - whoever has the best hand of all poker hands turned in.
Random winners - from the cards turned in by the end of the day, one lucky card will be drawn from each store. That person will win $100 gift card to that store. There will be 7 of these prizes, for a total of $700 given away to lucky winners!

Note: You are only eligible to win 1 random store drawing.


So come on out, and go all in!
 
Could be a possibility since there will obviously be a bunch of decks used.... but probably sooo sooo unlikely =P But if we have a tie, then great! We have two winners!

All the cards will be punched and marked so that we know which store they came from.

Thank God- cause i have no clue.

Bobby and I hope to have our bikes up and ready so it will be a nice afternoon of bike riding, LFS shopping, and of course trying to get the best hand. :celeb2:

Jimbo,
If this event is as successful as I believe it will be. The next one will be Miami stores. We thought about having it in both counties. But realized it was too big of an area. This event will require workers and well there isn't enough of us to go around and participate at the same time.

If anyone is interested or willing to volunteer their time for this event. Please let Gayle know. This is an event like no others we've done. I hope you and the rest of the members in neighboring counties will come out and partake in the fun. The prizes alone make it worth going to.

Not sure about other lfs, but I know for sure because they told me they use copper in there tanks. Just thought i would mention it to be safe in case anyone acclimates their fish and accidentally puts the lfs water in their tank.

Most stores do this or something similar. You should NEVER put water from the bags in your tank.
