Could be a zoanthid polyp. It is kind of hard to tell from the pic...can you get some more descriptive characteristics? Does it draw itself back in, it is rigid?
ok look again, I put an arrow pointing at exactly what I'm talking about. what you think is a hole is what i"m talking about. umm characteristics....it doesn't move at all , kinda hard and has prikly things at the end of it
I know it's hard to get good closeup shots but that picture's not close enough to really say. It looks/sounds sort of like a palythoa/button-polyp (related to zoanthids) look at these pictures on google images for example: http://images.google.com/images?q=button polyp
Button-poylps are soft corals (although technically I think they're anenomes) .
