I have had one saltwater tank about 10 years ago with a single clownfish in a 20 gallon tank.

This time me and my 5 year old daughter want to set up a 40 gallon mixed reef. We plan on using a 40B tank.
Plan on using overflow with sump.

Fish:
Pair of clownfish
Helfrichi firefish
Royal gramma basslet
Starcki damsel
Blenny- haven't decided like the starry blenny and the midas blenny

How does list of fish look for 40 gallon breeder?

Invertebrates(Interested in these):
Caribbean cluster duster
*Harlequin shrimp bonded pair
*Chocolate chip sea star- mainly for the harlequin shrimp
Pom pomp crab- 3
*Sebae anemone OR
*Malu sebae anemone OR
*Another type anemone
Squat lobster orange/black and white/yellow with black stripes
Peppermint shrimp
*Blood red fire shrimp
Lettuce sea slug green-4
Snails???
* invertebrates are a must for us. What do you think of compatibility and how much of this we can keep?

Corals:
Aussie Sinularia Finger Leather Coral
Cauliflower Colt Coral
Pineapple Tree Coral

Thanks for any input you can provide.

I would take the Starcki damsel off the list, I think you have one too many fish for the 40 gallon tank and the clown fish are likely to accept the Starcki damsel when they mature, so it would be the fish I would leave off the list.
A few comments on the other livestock you have on your list:
Chocolate chip sea: It will likely starve in your tank, even if you wait several months for the tank to mature there is not going to be enough for it to eat and it will almost certainly starve over time.
Anemone: they like stable parameters. I would wait 6 months for the tank to mature before adding one.
Lobsters typically hide all day and only come out at night, you are not going to see much of yours if you add it.
Sea slugs usually starve from a lack of food, best to pass on them.
