1st (unofficial)Club meeting if anyone is interested

Hey locals, we(Turbonegro, Reeftard73, and myself(Trippkid)) are looking to see if anyone would be interested in joining our little club we are trying to start. Nothing fancy as of yet(no dues or anything like that), just getting together to share ideas, frags, and getting to know some of you that share our same passion for the hobby. If anyone is interested, either PM me or respond here( I am always on here), and I can give you some more information about time and place(still have to figure out a good time), the three of us were planning to get together this coming weekend(Dec.6 or 7, sometime in the afternoon). Hopefully some of you are interested and I can't wait to meet you and talk shop. Hope to see some new faces.

still waiting to hear from TN, as to a time, I think we were looking at Sat. afternoon possibly, let me know if that works for you. I saw you posted were you are at, we'll have to meet up soon, I'm only about 15 or so minutes away. I stay at home with my 3 kids, so I'm available usually(as long as they aren't doing something and I can bring them with(when the wife is not home, she is a nurse and works night shift). I guess when we have some more people interested, we may need some help coordinating things, now it is pretty much just a get together. Are you looking for anything special as far as frags go(we are hoping to do like a grab bag kind of thing with some of our nicer stuff, we will have to work out details and make sure everyone trading things don't have issues with bugs/nudi's and other bad guys). We will have to talk more about that when we hook up. Have a good one.

I will try to get a hold of Bobby again, and see if Sunday can work for him. I am open to any time, sounds like Sat most of you are busy. I'll let everyone know as soon as I do, I can give you directions to his house when something is final. Hey guys, I talked to Bobby and he is going to be quite busy this weekend so the day we came up with is Sat. Dec.13 at 1pm at his house(I will PM all that want to attend his address as soon I know who is coming). I hope this suits most of you, we could probably fudge the time a little, let me know what you all think. We were thinking of doing a polly-anna(I don't know what it is called) with frags(Everyone who wants to trade, bring a frag of something nice, put names in a hat or something and pick a frag, I am sure you could trade that for something else if you end up really not wanting it, we have quite a few things that most should like). Plan on having a light lunch or something(Pizza, or my wife has offered to cook something up for us), get to know a little about each other and do the swap thing. No major topic discussions at this point, but always up for Q&A. Really just a nice little get together to get to know you all.
Eventually we may do some group trips to some LFS's(some not so local, MD, NJ, Philly area, Allentown, etc.), group buys(if we have enough interest in something like that).
Again, I hope you all can make it on that day, if not there will be many more to come in the future. Please PM me if interested and I can give you his Address and mine, in case someone from up in this area wants to follow along. Have a good day guys, I hope to hear from you.

I'm in for the 13th - this weekend is totally booked up. I'll check with Jandree22 and see if he's available.

I would really love to see this club grow - we started the original Susquehanna Reef Club almost 4 years ago but never got anything going on a regular basis.

Rock on NCNBilly, yeah I wasn't sure about the officialness of the club, but I agree we need to make an effort and kick it off, and keep up with it. It is always nice to get together with others with the same interests and share our knowledge and experiences. Have a good one, I'll PM you with some more info.

Hey Scott, thanks for replying and showing interest. I'm sure the next one we do can be on a different day or time. I am going to try and shoot for monthly or bi-monthly meetings. Argh... I’d LOVE to come, and have a club meet on a semi-regular basis. But I’ll be at a Flyers game @ 1PM on the 13th. Afternoon game kind of wastes the entire day from 9A â€"œ 6P.

Really it’s just going to be tough for Saturdays through December, with this whole Christmas thing people keep blabbing about.

No problem Joel, sorry you are busy that day, but a hockey game is always fun to go to also. I or we will let you know when we are doing it again, next month sometime. I know people's schedules can be hard to accomodate, especially like you said with the whole Xmas thing. Glad you are interested though, we will keep you posted when the next one will happen. I responded to your PM Matt but wanted to chime in on the thread in general as well. I'm totally up for the club, though this month in general is pretty rough. With the cost of xmas gifts, replacing the last 2 of my MH bulbs, replacing a lost powerhead, getting more salt, etc, I'm pretty tapped out on cash and need to spend as much "off" time generating some fundage. :lol:

When something comes together for the next meeting let me know cause I'll definitely be in!

This is going to be a good time! Just to let everyone know that I'm going to have pizza and wings(HOt and MEDIUM) for lunch along with beer and soda. What beer and soda do you guys like?

I'll bring my own drink, you guys know I'm funny that way(Gatorade and caffeine free soda). Looks like 3 others so far are in for that weekend, another 3 but can't do this meeting, seems to be coming together, 9 of us total so far have shown interest.
