 Actually it's a 2 quart container.

Super sweet tank, but how do you do a water change with things, torch and zoo's, so close to the top? It looks like you dose with B-Ionic, anything else? Also any shots of your fuge and I'm presuming you have the mini/20 impeller in there? :D

Looks great Sug !!

May I be so bold as to make a suggestion ?

Put some rubble and broken shells in the tank for the pistol shrimp to use as construction materials. First, it'll keep it from collecting hermit crabs, snails, and frags. Second, it's really interesting to watch them build entrances and hideaways with the pieces.

I agree, Agu.

Magnolia, thanks for the inspiration. As I mentioned in my note, I'm in the planning phase for my Pico-C. Thanks to you, I'll have excellence to shoot for!

Well done, ma'am. That's excellent.

I want some of those ricordia!

Good sugestion Agu, I have some rubble I can toss in there. It's so cool to see the pistol back up at the cave entranced and kick sand out of the way.

Fly, once the weather warms and your pico is ready I can send you a thermos. ;)

Great little tank :D I just picked up a Yasha Haze/pistol shrimp pair at my LFS. Their going to be living in my 5.5 gallon tank that's been running for 7 months. Do you have any pointers?

Al

Yes their paired up, the yasha haze is sitting in the front of my rock pile kicking up some sand. I don't see the shrimp but he should show up soon hopefully.

They don't always pair up. Certain pistols pair better with certain gobies. It is much better to buy them as a mated pair already, but if you are like me and got them at different times then make your best guess. I am sure there are articles out there. A lot of what I read, said you can go wrong with yellow watchmen, yassa, or tangaroa. I have a Tiger and later bought a tangaroa and mine paired up fairly easily.

gfkIt's a Current Dual Satellite 2x18 W fixture. I just put this on the tank about a month ago. Before that I had a custom built canopy with 2x13W PC's.

Sugar, how did the 2X13W PC's work out before you upgraded? Were you using reflectors? How close were they to the water? Did you have two 50/50's, or?? I just ordered a retro with the same wattage/bulbs for my up and coming 2.5.
