i have 2 6000 on a controller and im having a hard time with the settingg what whould the recommended power be in a tank this size my tank dimensions are 4ft long 2ft high and 18inches wide it

I would run interval 2 if possible. So much depends on inhabitants and type of substrate. I would set the pumps to pulse and you might start with 30-60 or 80% and work up to 100%. In this mode one pump idles at 30% and the other pulses and I would set the interval they switch at to 6 hrs to mimic a natural tidal interval.

Just to tag along on this thread--I'm in the process of planning a similar 90g setup and was considering using 1 or 2 6000s. If I go with no more than 2, will the single controller still work (do I need to add that branch adapter?) or do I need the multicontroller?

Thanks for your help,
Steve

Get the multicontroller, with the single controller they will both run synchronously so two 6000 on high power at the same time is likely too much for a 90.

I am tossing around the idea of putting a stream or two in my 75g. Would 1 6000 + 7091 be enough for a four foot tank, SPS mainly? I am also looking at possibly 2 6000 + 7095 controller, but that would probably be too much and blow around my ~3mm aragonite sand eh? Otherwise I was thinking of going with 2 Seio 1100s, but I have mixed feelings about those.

I have a 72G bowfront tank with 2 6000s on a multicontroller. I love it! Flow is good and I don't have any problems. But I am running it barebottom.

I am running 3 6000s on a 7095. Can't run at full blast since I have 4" of southdown. Also, I had some problems with too much flow at first (blew the flesh right off some SPS), but I think 2 6000s should be fine.

I have 2 6000 and 7095 on my 75g. It took me awhile to get it tuned in like I wanted it, but the sandstorm died and the water flow is exactly what I wanted.

Thanks for the comments, everyone. I am going to go with the 2 6000s and the multicontroller. Guess I should start rummaging through the couch cushions for spare change...
