2 6080's on a 135?

6ft 135g tank and planning on adding sps to a mix of softies and lps. Are two 6080's too much, too little, or wrong altogether? Also wondering where the placement should be.

It would be preferable to have the controllable pumps. In which case I would get the 6000's. If you can deal with no wavemakers or controllers and want a more static flow then I think that 2 6080's would be fine, you could alternate them at 1hr intervals on a timer. If you want lower flow LPS like frogspawns and hammers get the 6060's instead.

Ok 2 6000's it is. Now the controler options would be 2x7091 or a 7094 multicontroller right? Havent seen the multicontroller sold seperately is it more cost effective for the 7091's or 7094? Thanks, Sean

The 7095 replaced the 7094 early this year. The 7094 is no longer available but if you want one, I found a dealer who still has one. The only reason to get the 7094 is it is cheaper. The multicontroller gives many more options. It also includes the night mode photocell, add $25 to get this on two single controllers. The 7095 also has a built in moonlight with lunar cycle simulator.
